Giant Sequoia

Location: Namibia

These tree trunks seem to go on forever. They grow to an average height of between 50 to 85 m high with trunk diameters ranging from 6 to 8 m. The oldest known tree is around 3200 years old. They are amazing, their sap contains tannic acid which provides a great of protection from fire damage. You could smell a faint aroma of smoke in the air.
